At White Pines Inn, our traditional, yet modern cabins in Illinois resemble a pioneer village with 25 authentic one-room log cabins with gas fireplaces. Located near Oregon and Rockford and set among the towering pines, the cabins have beautiful hardwood floors the color of maple syrup. Each cabin has a hand-hewn log bed frame with a queen-sized mattress and a double bed trundle underneath. Each cabin has a private bath.

There are 13 one-room cabins with open-beamed ceilings. Another 12 cabins are built in groups of four under one roof. Each cabin offers a private entrance and bath, but there are interconnecting doors which makes them ideal for large families. Pillows, blankets and towels are provided. Modern conveniences include heat, air conditioning, phones, mini refrigerators, TVs and DVD Players. White Pines Cabins are available from the first Friday in March to the Sunday before Christmas each year.

White Pines Inn, located near Rockford, is home to one of northern Illinois’ landmark restaurants. The home-style cuisine blends perfectly with the log cabin decor. Generous portions of mostly homemade dishes fill the menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner, six days a week. Each  Sunday the area’s largest breakfast buffet is offered up with its spread of hearty home cooking from 8am til noon.  Every year the regional  Sauk Valley Newspaper runs a contest and every year White Pines wins – Best Buffet bragging rights!  During the afternoon and evening on Sundays there’s a special menu with a salad bar and during the summer months it includes outdoor grilling under the adjoining garden canopy along with live music.

Enjoy White Pines’ famous Paul Bunyan Breakfast served family style: large platters filled with eggs, buttermilk or blueberry pancakes, American fries, toast, sausage, and bacon. Still hungry? Just ask for more and we’ll keep it coming!

Lunches range from homemade soups and hearty sandwiches served on home-baked breads, to more substantial entrees like our famous chicken Pot Pie. The Sweet Tooth Sampler is always a favorite for guests of all ages!

Our menu expands at dinner offering steaks, lake fish and seafood. Save room as you’ll find it hard to turn down dessert. The White Pines chef takes great pride in his creations, especially his Pine Creek Peach Cobbler, and our signature Red Raspberry Pie.
